Wallie-World strikes out!

Wal-Mart workers' second strike in five days spreads to nine states

The bad news got worse yesterday for Wal-Mart. On Oct. 4, employees at several stores in California staged a walkout, the first such incident in the company’s 50-year history. Today, workers not just in California, but also Texas, Washington, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Florida, Kentucky and Minnesota went on strike. Some workers are also planning to demonstrate on Wednesday outside Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville, Ark., when the company hosts its annual investor meeting. The strikes are the latest in a battle against the company’s fierce decades-long resistance to organized labor. OUR Wal-Mart, a group of employees behind the strikes, is campaigning for improved work conditions, benefits and wages.

Many of us go shopping there two to three times a week just so we can get all the staples of our daily living in one place. We don't even think about our neighbors, whose business's are no longer or the ones that work at the store it self. Haven't you ever wondered about that person in the blue vest? Well I can tell you this their not as happy as their face leads on. How can they? when when their hours are kept short, constant penalization and if your a woman 20% less pay than your male counter-parts.

March on my brothers and sisters that stand against the social in-justice of corporate greed. Best wishes an Solidarity from your brothers and sisters in the socialist movement.
